Heavy rainfall has caused widespread flooding in many parts of Chile, leaving hundreds of homes damaged and residents stranded. Authorities have issued a yellow alert and asked residents to avoid unnecessary travel. An early warning has also been issued for the Santiago Metropolitan Region. They anticipate up to 65 millimeters of rain in the next two days and winds with gusts of up to 50 kilometers per hour.
