Chile reached a 43.4% renewables share in gross power production in January, up from 41.8% the month earlier, according to the latest figures released by the Chilean national energy commission (CNE). The so-called non-conventional renewables generated 3,189 GWh of electricity in January, marking an increase of 6.1% month-on-month. Compared to the year-ago period, gross production from these sources rose by 10.8%.
