A magnitude-5.3 earthquake occurred in Arica y Parinacota Region in far northern Chile at around 06:30 March 13. The epicenter was about 80 km (50 miles) north of Camina, Tarapaca Region. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 114 km (71 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout parts of far northern Chile, far western Bolivia, and far southern Peru.
