The U.S. Army is deploying a HIMARS rocket artillery system in Chile as part of Exercise Southern Fenix 2024

 After various images began circulating on social media, the Chilean Army confirmed the arrival of a HIMARS rocket launch system from the United States Army. The presence of this system for the first time in the U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility is part of the deployment for the bilateral Exercise Southern Fenix 2024, which will focus on the Tarapacá region in northern Chile.
