Nearly 1,200 military personnel from the Chilean Army’s Special Operations Forces and the U.S. Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH) met in the Magallanes region, the southernmost part of the American continent, June 24-28, to take part in combined bilateral exercise Pacific Dagger 2024. The main objective was for Chilean and U.S. troops to train and evaluate their capabilities in extreme cold scenarios, and improve interoperability, while strengthening combat skills in various tactical situations.
