Enel Chile S.A.’s ratings are unaffected by the events occurring at its subsidiary Enel Distribucion Chile S.A., Fitch Ratings says. The agency is monitoring the ongoing processes at Enel Chile’s subsidiary after severe climate events resulted in electric supply disruption to end users. This could result in fines and client compensations of an unknown amount. The potential expiration of the distribution concession is also being reviewed by the Chilean government. As of June 2024, Enel Distribucion Chile represented less than 10% of the consolidated EBITDA of its parent Enel Chile.
