Enel adds 205 MW of solar to wind farm to create Chile’s largest hybrid

 

Chilean utility Enel Chile said on Tuesday that its 205-MW Las Salinas solar power complex initiated commercial operation, becoming ready to operate jointly with an existing wind farms in the northern part of Chile. Las Salinas and the 112-MW Sierra Gorda Este wind farm, also owned by Enel Chile, have created the largest industrial-scale hybrid renewable generation centre in Chile, the utility said.
