Chile Declares State of Emergency After Forest Fires, At Least 10 Feared Dead

 

Following the forest fires, Chilean President Gabriel Boric declared "a state of emergency

due to catastrophe, in order to have all the necessary resources" to fight the fires. As of

now, 10 people have been feared dead as the remaining residents try and evacuate the

region.
