Fitch Rates Engie Chile's Proposed USD500 Million Notes 'BBB'

 

Fitch Ratings has assigned a 'BBB' rating to Engie Energia Chile S.A.'s (Engie Chile) proposed green notes due 2034 for up to USD500 million. The notes rank pari passu with the company's existing senior unsecured notes. Net proceeds will fund the expected tender offer of the USD350 million notes due 2025, and the remaining portion for general corporate purposes. Fitch currently rates Engie Chile' Long-Term Foreign and Local Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'BBB' and long-term National Scale rating at 'AA-(cl)'. The Rating Outlook is Stable.
