Chilean authorities have made multiple arrests in the death of a 38-year-old Staten Island lawyer who was shot while getting dinner in Santiago on Jan. 14, according to a Chilean newspaper report. “Our family is really grateful for the efforts of Chile’s PDI and prosecutors’ office, who remained very dedicated to this case, seeing to it that the suspects were apprehended and ultimately will be brought to trial later on this year,” said the family of Eric Garvin of Stapleton in a statement to the Advance/SILive.com. “We are grateful for their hard work.”
