Claro Chile has received authorisation from the regulator Subtel to use its radio frequencies in the 3.5 GHz band to offer 5G services. This follows a court ruling earlier this year saying the spectrum could not be limited to fixed-wireless services. With the decision, Subtel expects more competition on the market, with four operators offering services.
